Happy hours are served from 5 to 8 pm. Later in the night, the bar becomes definitively the gathering place to relax, drink, play and meet people. The music is euro. Tuesday nights, they have a band from about 6:30 to 10 and its packed & lots of fun! In the summer, weekend nights are […]

No scene, no credit cards, no slices, only whole pies, everything fresh – just what we consider to be the best razor thin NY pizza ever. Cooked in coal fired ovens similar to Pepe’s in New Haven, CT, my MOST favorite pizza in the U.S.
Grimaldi’s - Brooklyn Bridge Pizzeria (DUMBO) - on the waterfront under the […]

The Lodge is in the location of the old Laundry. Wednesday nites seem to be the time to be there, but I’m sure weekends are great too.

New owners, same great place. I really consider this a catering, but lunches are great times to go. Call to see if they still have bar dining and for which times are good especially for singles. Not far from the NYC tunnels in the streets of “Little Bombay”. Entertainment on Saturday nights.

The Bar gets crowded after work and offers great martini’s and snacks or small plates to order. Always wonderful. Property designed by I. M. Pei. If you get bored, great shopping in the area, such as Chanel. Go out the back door, go left, and you’ll be at Tao. While Fifty Seven Fifty Seven, the […]
There’s always a crowd at Tao, and its a bit young, moderately hip, and always a bit groovy. Nonetheless fun! If you go to Tao, be sure to go out the front door, to the right, and into the 4 Seasons, where the upstairs bar is wonderful. 212 888 2288

These reveiws kind of say it all:
“Hollywood on the lower Hudson, an Italian-Argentine cafe where Keanu Reeves, Fisher Stevens and Tim Robbins drop in for Ciabatta-bread sandwiches between takes.”
- Travel & Leisure
“Wall Street big shots and Miramax execs, head to Sosa Borella. This Argentine cafe oozes Tribeca.”

Small plates & tapas menu with so many choices for champagnes by the glass. Friday’s from 5 to 7 pm had a DJ. Wander over to nearby NOBU for the fun of it.

Eat with the big boys! In the financial district since 1837, its credited with creating dishes such as the Delmonico Steak, Eggs Benedict, Lobster Newburg, and Baked Alaska. Rather dressy, definitely on the formal side, you can dine at the bar. This is where money comes to dine. Better at lunch or after work. Evenings […]
