French Escapade Tours

French Escapade — It’s France off the beaten paths for small groups of  women.
Don’t be a tourist, be the guest. Discover France another way. Two natives of France share their love of their country on tours from the Alps to Provence.  Accommodation in their 19th century farmhouse or a majestic hotel, four-course gourmet dinners, cultural visits (quaint […]

Thanks to one of our readers, Chris S, who pointed out the need for having communal table dining, I’m adding a section and a tab just for this.  We’d be honored to spearhead the drive to have more establishments offer this kind of seating.  There are so many single diners now and there is a real […]

SKYLOFTS, MGM GRAND, LAS VEGAS

I had to borrow this post from Conde Nast Traveler:
As sexy as: A torch singer/showgirl (preferably Gina Gershon).
Titillation factor: The private pool table, whatever game you choose to play on it.
Size matters: Up to 6,040 square feet.
The seduction: The MGM Grand is buzzy all over again, thanks to its expense account–busting restaurants (Joël Robuchon, anyone?) […]

I had to pick up a couple of these posts from Concierge.com:
As sexy as: Lauren Bacall, in her Bogie days.
Titillation factor: The overhead view of the beauties sunning by the world-famous pool.
Size matters: 6,000 square feet, on the 8th floor.
The seduction: This classic hotel on South Beach—a vintage spot built by L. Murray Dixon in […]

A few months back, I had taken a vacation to one of those wonderful warm Caribbean locations.  I’m not going to name names in order to give any bad guys reading this any ideas, but the island has a beautiful & new airport that has opened in the last couple of years.  It supposedly has […]

Collapsible ballet flats make the ideal footwear for long overseas flights. They stay neatly folded in your carry-on until needed and then snap to attention when the urge to wander aimlessly around the cabin pops up. This leather version from Juicy Couture features suede soles with molded rubber pads on heel and toe and has […]

Madonna, this one’s for you. I think the combination of red and gold is sexy.  Wearing “the red string” is a Kabbalistic practice meant to ward off the Evil Eye, which might come in handy while you’re running for the best seat on a Southwest airlines flight.   The one is $22.00, which is really inexpensive for this kind of […]

How many times have you mistaken someone else’s standard black ballistic nylon roller bag for your own? How many?
About as often as every-single-time-you-fly.
Unique Luggage tags not only make it easier for you to distinguish your bags with bright colors that you can identify from afar. The tags have silly sayings like “OOPS, as in oops […]

The US Passport Agency now offers passports with 48 pages instead of 24. Just in case you get a bad case of wanderlust. (via carylchinn) Click on the photo to link in.

Cashmere Travel Set

Back in the day, I would have never dreamed of buying a cashmere travel set, I thought, what for? Until I had a 7 hour flight to Europe with screaming children on board… Nothing says lull me to sleep and make the kids stop screaming like cashmere, well that and wine.
(thanks to jax)
